This update makes your Landmark Vista program Y2K compliant.
Please note that you must have three formatted
diskettes for this update.
(To print these instructions, select File > Print on your
Web browser’s menu bar.)
IMPORTANT: After you have downloaded this update you will
be required to save it to diskette before it can be applied.
PLEASE HAVE THREE BLANK, FORMATED DISKETTES AVAILABLE.
- Click on V111dsk1.exe.
- If the 'File Download' box appears, make sure the option
to 'save to disk' is selected. (this will allow the program
to be saved to your hard drive).
- The Save As dialog box displays the name of the download
file in the File name field. Use this dialog box to save
the file to your Windows desktop. Click the up one level button
(the yellow folder with the up arrow) until 'Desktop' is
in the 'save in' box then click Save.
- Wait for the download to complete before proceding to the next
step. This process could take some time so please be patient.
- Click on V111dsk2.exe
and repeat steps 2-4 for this file. Repeat for V111dsk3.exe.
- When all three files have been downloaded close all windows and
log off of the internet. You should now see three new icons on your
desktop.
- Label your blank diskettes, 'Vista Update Disk 1', 'Vista Update
Disk 2' and 'Vista Update Disk 3'.
- Insert the disk Labeled 'Vista Update Disk 1' into your
computer's floppy disk drive and then double click on the new icon
on your desktop labeled 'V111dsk1'.
- When the PKSFX dialog box diaplays, click the button labeled 'Finish'.
This will 'extract' the update program to the diskette. When
the process is done a message displays saying 'Extraction Complete'.
Click 'OK'. You've now finished copying disk one of the update
files to a diskette.
- To create disks 2 and 3 of the update, click on 'V111dsk2'
and 'V111dsk3', respectively, and repeat steps 8 and 9, using
the disks labeled 'Vista Update Disk 2' and 'Vista Update
Disk 3'.
- Once you’ve prepared the three update diskettes, you are ready
to apply the update. Insert the disk labeled Vista Update Disk
1 into the A:\ drive. Click the Start button on the task
bar, select Run, and next to the word Open type A:\Setup.exe.
Click the OK button to start the update process.
