Landmark CMA Publisher

Y2K Interface Disk Update

Y2K testing revealed a problem with how dates are displayed on some reports. The latest interface disks, available on this site, will correct this problem on CMA's standard reports. If you have created custom reports, information on how to edit these reports to correct this problem is available by clicking on Y2K & Custom Reports.

(To print the following instructions, select File > Print on your Web browser's menu bar.)

Verify the Version of Your Current CMA Publisher Interface:

  1. Open CMA Publisher.


  2. Click on Options then Communications Setup.


  3. Copy the following information from the Communications Settings screen:


    • Com:
    • Speed
    • Phone Number
    • Modem Setup


  4. Click on Cancel when done.


  5. Click on Help > About Landmark CMA Publisher.


  6. Copy the following information from the lower right corner of the About Landmark CMA Publisher box (highlighted in Green in the example above):


    • MLS: MLSxxx ("xxx" is your site code)
    • Version: xxxxxx-xx


  7. Click on Site Table to see your site's current version. Compare your version number to the one on the site code table. If the version is identical to your current version, your software has the latest interface. If the version listed next to your site code in the table is different, follow the steps outlined below.

 

Download and Create CMA Interface Disk

  1. In the Site Table window, click on the site code for your CMA.


  2. The File Download dialog box displays. Select the radio button for saving the file to disk, and click the OK button. (Skip to step # 3 if you have previously downloaded from Netscape Communicator, this dialog box may not appear)


  3. The Save As dialog box displays the name of the download file in the File name field. Use this dialog box to save the file to your Windows desktop. Click the up one level button (the yellow folder with the up arrow) until Desktop is in the 'save in' box. Click Save.


  4. When the download completes, disconnect from the internet and close all programs. There will be a new icon on your desktop called xxx_CMA (where 'xxx' is your site code).


  5. Insert a blank formatted diskette into your 3 1/2 " floppy A: drive.


  6. Double click on xxx_CMA.


  7. Click OK.


  8. Click UnZip,


  9. When complete, close the WinZip self extractor program.

 

To Install the Update Disk

  1. Click Start > Run.


  2. Type A:\Setup.exe and click the OK button to start the update.


  3. A window will display confirming the location of the CMA directory.


  4. Click on OK to install the MLS interface update.


  5. You will receive a message stating that the MLS interface disk has been successfully installed.


  6. Click on OK. Remove the update disk from your computer and store it in a safe place.


  7. An open window will display on your desktop containing the Landmark icons. Start CMA Publisher by double clicking on the CMA Publisher icon.


  8. Login to CMA Publisher.


  9. Select the Landmark Service you want to use, then click on OK.


  10. A File Structure Update message will display.


  11. Click on OK to remove this message.


  12. Click on Options > Communications Setup.


  13. Using the information you copied earlier, make any necessary corrections to the Communications Settings screen.


  14. Click Done when finished.


  15. Installation is complete.
